This innovative Alliance sees the Water Corporation taking on one of Western Australia’s most substantial wastewater programs, to upgrade treatment plants at Beenup, Subiaco and Woodman Point.

Between them, these three plants treat about 80 per cent of the State’s wastewater.

To deliver optimum long-term assets, the WATER CORPORATION is providing operations, design and management staff to work with leading engineering design and construction companies:

• BLACK & VEATCH: an international design and engineering constructor which has delivered more than 35,000 water projects around the world over the past 90 years.
• THIESS: one of Australia’s major construction companies with a solid background of civil and mining project delivery in Western Australia.

The upgrades will help underpin Perth’s long-term, sustainable growth by improving the the Water Corporation’s operational capacity and ability to better manage odour impacts. Utimately, this program is about protecting public health and amenity as well as the environment.
