The W2W Alliance is upgrading odour controls at the Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant. To achieve a 50% reduction in odour emissions, W2WA will focus on capturing gases from the most odorous areas of the plant by installing new covers on odour sources and improving existing odour control infrastructure. The captured gases will be extracted and directed to the new odour control facility where the air is treated to remove odorous compounds before being released through a 50-metre stack.
